Selling Software, AI and Digital Platforms into the Department of War’s New Acquisition Model

The Department of War’s (DoW) newly released Acquisition Transformation Strategy marks the most consequential shift in defense buying in decades and it is being designed explicitly to unlock commercial technology at speed. While headlines focus on weapons and platforms, the real transformation is in how DoW intends to acquire software, data, AI, cyber, autonomy, digital infrastructure and mission applications across the enterprise.

This strategy replaces slow, program-centric procurement with a portfolio-driven, outcome-based acquisition model that prioritizes rapid adoption, continuous upgrades and scalable vendor ecosystems. In this new model, software, data platforms and AI are no longer “supporting tools”, they are core warfighting infrastructure.

This webinar will break down what the new acquisition framework means for commercial technology companies trying to sell into DoW. We will explain how DoW is reorganizing buying authority around capability portfolios instead of programs, how funding is shifting toward modular, incrementally deployed digital capabilities, and how vendors must align with warfighter outcomes, not IT feature lists, to win.

Federal agencies are now required under OMB Memorandum M-23-02 and National Security Memorandum-10 to inventory cryptographic assets, identify quantum-vulnerable algorithms and report progress toward post-quantum cryptography (PQC) readiness. Yet many agencies are unsure what these mandates actually require in practice, how discovery and inventory tools fit into compliance or how to determine whether their current environments provide sufficient cryptographic visibility.

This webinar, hosted by Marion Square, Square Peg Technologies and Carahsoft introduces a structured PQC Reporting & Readiness Enablement Program designed to help agencies understand what OMB expects, how PQC requirements translate into real reporting and evidence and how to evaluate their existing tools and data sources against those requirements.

FY26 and the Federal AI Surge: How Carahsoft Partners Can Seize the Opportunity

The Senate recently introduced bipartisan legislation that could accelerate the nation’s migration to post-quantum cryptography (PQC). Known as the National Quantum Cybersecurity Strategy Act, the bill reflects growing federal urgency to prepare for the cybersecurity risks posed by quantum computing and highlights a critical reality: today’s stolen data won’t stay secure forever.

For public sector agencies, this legislation represents both a pressing challenge and a strategic opportunity. Join Harvey MorrisonCEO of Marion Square, for an in-depth discussion on how this strategy could reshape federal cybersecurity requirements — and what steps you can take now to prepare.
